Description
METALINK EPOXY STICKS are pre-measured, two-part fast setting epoxy compounds in a handy 4 oz. roll. They are easy to apply; just cut off the proper amount and knead with your fingers until it is all one color (no streaks), then stick it on. Metalink Epoxy Sticks will adhere to nearly any surface including steel, cast iron, stainless steel, all ferrous and non-ferrous metals, glass, concrete, PVC, wood, and most plastics. They set up like metal in about 15 minutes and can be drilled, tapped, sanded, machined, and painted. Metalink Epoxy Sticks will even adhere to damp surfaces and cure under water. There are four types to choose from depending on the application. Once cured, all four are chemically resistant to hydrocarbons, ketones, alcohols, esters, halocarbons, aqueous salt solutions, and dilute acids and bases.
Metalink Steelstick™ This steel reinforced compound will adhere to nearly any surface including steel, cast iron, stainless steel, all ferrous and non-ferrous metals, glass, concrete, PVC, wood and most plastics. Part # ML001.
Metalink Copperstick™ This copper-reinforced compound will adhere to nearly any surface including steel, cast iron, stainless steel, all ferrous metals, glass, concrete, PVC, wood and most plastics, but is designed for repairs on copper, brass, bronze and other non-ferrous metals. It provides a good color match to copper and brass. Part # ML002.
Metalink Aquastick™ Designed for permanent repairs to damp, wet areas and underwater applications. It may be applied under water, in either fresh or salt water and will bond tenaciously to substrates such as fiberglass, metal, wood, concrete, ceramics, glass, etc. The mixed epoxy turns from an aquamarine color to “fiberglass white” upon curing, and will not yellow upon exposure to Ultra Violet rays. Curing time is dependent upon water temperature; the warmer the water, the faster the cure. Part # ML004.
Metalink Woodstick™ Has the density of wood and can be drilled, sawed, carved, sanded, stained, and painted when set. It’s putty consistency eliminates drips and runs, providing “no mess” applications. Part # ML003.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. For best adhesion, surface should be cleaned free of grease or dirt. Abrade surface by grinding, sanding, power brushing or grit-blasting. Clean with Metal Prep II Degreaser.
2. Apply ML900 Silicone Lubricant and Release Agent to any surface that you do not want the compound to adhere to.
3. Twist or cut off required amount of Metalink Epoxy Stick and knead with fingers to a uniform color (no streaks). If mixing is difficult, warm to room temperature or slightly above.
4. Apply to the surface to be repaired within 2 minutes. Note: When applying to a damp surface, work the material forcefully into the surface and apply pressure until adhesion begins to take effect.
