ML805 TOP COAT XHD is the latest hybrid in epoxy coatings. It is an 100% solids two-part compound which is designed for protection against highly corrosive materials on concrete or metal. It is extremely resistant to the effects of acids, caustics, salts, aromatic and aliphatic solvents. Top Coat -X.H.D. exhibits excellent abrasion and impact resistance. Great for sealing in aggregate for non-skid coatings such as METALINK SLIP-NOT, or as a barrier coating for machinery, tanks, etc.

Chemical Resistance:
Sulfuric Acid – up to 98%, Hydrochloric Acid – up to 37%, Nitric Acid – up to 30%, Acrylic Acid – up to 98%, Acetic Acid – up to 56%, Citric Acid – up to 30%, Phosphoric Acid- up to 85%, Sodium Hydroxide – up to 70%, Ammonium Hydroxide – up to 28%, Xylene, Toluene, Fresh and Salt Water.
DIRECTION FOR USE:
1. Follow Concrete Surface Preparation Guide or Metals Preparation Guide, whichever is applicable, for substrate preparation. For concrete applications, apply an initial primer coat to the surface using METALINK ML819 Concrete Primer/Sealer before applying ML805 Top Coat -X.H.D. Allow to cure according to directions. (Top Coat -X.H.D. will need to be applied while Concrete Primer/Sealer is still tacky.)
2. Add 2 parts Base (Part A) to 1 part hardener (Part B) by volume (or all of both containers if entire batch is being used). Mix well using a power mixer for approximately 2 minutes. NOTE: Do not thin Top Coat-X.H.D. Use as supplied.
3. Pour mixture out of container and on to the primed substrate. Spread evenly, using a hand roller or squeegee.
4. For best results, it may be necessary to back roll with a “spike” roller.
5. For a non-skid finish, or to prevent surface checking if Top Coat-X.H.D. is being applied outdoors, broadcast sand or Gripper Granules over application area (seed dry) after first coat is applied. After drying (within 12-24 hours at 75ºF), sweep off excess and apply 5-10 mils of Top Coat-X.H.D. to seal the non-skid surface.
WARNING: This product is a potential skin sensitizer. May cause injury to eyes and skin following prolonged or repeated contact. Inhalation of vapor may cause respiratory tract irritation. Use adequate ventilation when applying to avoid inhalation of vapor. Prevent contact with eyes and skin. Read and understand M.S.D.S. sheet.
